Business Development Executive – HVAC & Building Technology Partnerships
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to drive the growth of our Building & HVAC Partner Ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding HVAC and building product manufacturers onto our building performance simulation platform.
You will work closely with manufacturers, consultants, engineering teams, and industry stakeholders to demonstrate the value of our platform, build strategic partnerships, and drive successful partner integrations. This is a consultative B2B sales role that combines business development, technical discussions, relationship management, and partnership growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Partner Acquisition
- Identify, prospect, and engage HVAC, building products, and related manufacturing companies.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers including Product Managers, Application Engineers, Sales Leaders, Business Heads, and Digital Transformation Teams.
- Execute outbound sales campaigns through email, LinkedIn, networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Generate qualified meetings and manage the complete sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
Partnership Management
- Own the end-to-end partner onboarding lifecycle.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership terms.
- Build long-term relationships with strategic partners to maximize engagement and business growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding and integration process.
Product Demonstrations & Technical Consulting
- Conduct product demonstrations and solution presentations for prospective partners.
- Communicate the value proposition of the platform to technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure successful partner onboarding and integration.
- Support partners in understanding product selection workflows, performance analysis, and solution benefits.
Pipeline & Market Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, partner activities, and sales forecasts using CRM tools.
- Track conversion metrics, sales performance, and onboarding progress.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and emerging opportunities within the HVAC, Building Technology, and AEC sectors.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Technical Sales, Strategic Partnerships, or Account Management.
- Proven success in lead generation, outbound prospecting, and pipeline management.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations, client presentations, and consultative sales discussions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or similar.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, partner engagement, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Prior experience in HVAC, Building Products, Building Automation, Industrial Manufacturing, Engineering Software, Construction Technology, or Industrial SaaS.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, building performance, energy efficiency, or construction industry workflows.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE and related building technologies.
