Role: MLOPS Engineer 1
Focus: Engineering automated ML lifecycles, developing scalable deployment pipelines, and streamlining the path from model development to production.
Skillset
- Programming & Scripting: Strong foundational knowledge of Python programming & data structures. Ability to write and debug Bash/Shell scripts for automation.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Competent with Git (branching, merging, PRs). Understanding the concept of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
- Application Dev: Experience with a basic web framework (FastAPI or Flask) for creating simple model APIs.
- Data Fundamentals: Knowledge in SQL (Snowflake preferred) for data extraction and basic pipeline troubleshooting.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Basic experience with AWS services, specifically EC2 and S3. Interest in learning Amazon SageMaker for model hosting.
- Documentation: Diligent in documenting deployment steps, environment configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Added Value:
Containers & Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker (building and running images) and the basics of how Kubernetes (K8s) functions in a cloud environment.
