Investor Relations Manager
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Investor Relations Manager who is, at their core, a strong salesperson someone who builds trust quickly, communicates with conviction, and fosters long-term investor relationships.
This role serves as the primary interface with the investor community. The focus is on driving outreach, strengthening engagement, and ensuring investors remain informed and aligned with the company’s direction.
It is a high-visibility role working closely with the founding team and leadership. The environment is fast-paced and requires comfort with ambiguity, frequent interaction, and proactive ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Outreach & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain a pipeline of HNIs, family offices, angel investors, VCs, and institutional investors
- Act as the primary point of contact for investor communication
- Identify and pursue new investor opportunities through networking, events, and referrals
Storytelling & Pitching
- Own and deliver the investor pitch, clearly articulating vision, traction, and roadmap
- Prepare presentations, investment memos, and one-pagers
- Translate financial and business data into clear, compelling narratives
Investor Updates & Reporting
- Coordinate and distribute regular investor communications (monthly updates, quarterly reviews, key announcements)
- Maintain transparency and consistency in investor engagement
- Manage and update investor CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of all interactions
Events, Roadshows & Networking
- Represent the company at investor events, summits, demo days, and industry conferences
- Organize investor calls, meetings, and roundtables
- Build visibility through continuous market engagement
Fundraising Support
- Support fundraising processes in coordination with founders
- Manage due diligence workflows and follow-ups
- Maintain data room accuracy and relevance
- Build and nurture pipelines for future funding rounds
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work with product, finance, and strategy teams to gather relevant insights
- Align messaging and investor communication with leadership
Candidate Profile
- Strong sales orientation with the ability to build and close relationships
- Confident and effective communicator in both written and verbal formats
- Organized and capable of managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Proactive and self-driven with strong ownership mindset
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments
- Able to balance persistence with professional judgment in follow-ups
Requirements
Must-Have
- 2–5 years of experience in Investor Relations, Business Development, fundraising, or sales
- Demonstrated experience managing investor relationships
- Strong presentation and pitching skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in startups or fintech
- Existing investor network in India
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
- Understanding of cap tables and term sheets
- CA or MBA (Finance) background
